The CARES Group have launched a police checked and vetted Handyman Service in County Durham called Handy Care to deliver an extensive range of repairs and maintenance services.

Hire a HandyCare Professional Handyman to take care of all your odd jobs as well as many specialist tasks around your home or office.

Whatever trade category your jobs may fall under, we will send you a multi-skilled and friendly Handyman who can undertake almost any General Maintenance, Plumbing, Electric, Fitting, Hanging and Assembling job - including joinery, roofing, painting and decorating, brick and stonework repair, carpet fitting, kitchen installation, paving, cleaning conservatories - we’re even qualified to PAT test (portable equipment testing) for H & S in business and social care premises.

It is no longer necessary to spend all day waiting for a tradesman to turn up.

We offer specific one hour arrival slots to suit your schedule and we will always call if your Handyman is running ahead or behind.

We charge by time

£14 per hour with NO callout charge - 36p per mile for our pick up vehicles plus the cost of any materials. So you only pay for the time it takes to get your ‘To Do’ list done. We also offer ‘Peace of Mind’ fixed prices for those specific one off jobs you may need doing.

We'd prefer to be paid at the end of each visit. However we can invoice customers if there are no payment facilities onsite.

What Hours we work

The earliest arrival time we can offer you on a weekday is 8:30am and the latest is 5:30pm. However all our Handymen finish work at 6:30pm so please keep this in mind if you would prefer a late afternoon start.

We also offer a Saturday service from 9:30am to 5:00pm, but this is charged out at a slightly higher rate of: £17 per hour with NO callout charge.

We can sometimes get to you on the same or next day, so it is worth giving us a call if you have an urgent job. The usual waiting time is 2 - 3 days.

We understand that many people work long hours and find it hard to take time off to get odd jobs done around their homes. So, if you cannot be available during our operating times please do give us a call and we will try our best to accommodate you.
